Proposition AA (1993): City Employees Must Ride
Transit
The following was adopted by the voters in November 1993:
"It shall be the policy of the people of the city and county of San Francisco
that the mayor, members of the board of supervisors and all other officials and full-time
employees of the city and county of San Francisco, whether elected, appointed to
office or employed through the civil service system shall ride the municipal railway,
Bay Area Rapid Transit, or other regional public transit system serving the city
and county of San Francisco to and from the workplace at least two workdays per week."
